In the second webinar in our VHP4Safety webinar series, we take a deep dive into the Parkinson’s case study. Prof Juliette Legler, who chairs the session, introduces the VHP4Safety project. Julia Meerman then introduces the Parkinson’s case study, one of the three case studies on the Virtual Human Platform. She explains why pesticides are being studied in relation to neurodegeneration and provides background on this field of research. She then explains how the Adverse Outcome Pathway was used to design experiments and generate data. Finally, Jente Houweling asks what is needed to trust and reuse this research data after the project ends, and shows a tool that captures the context of the data, including gaps.
